When you volunteer Nepal in nature conservation program, you will offer free tree seedlings for planting and do outreach to teach people the importance of conservation. Your main task will be to care for tree saplings, but you will also do community outreach, dig and prepare nursery beds for sowing seeds, weed, trim and prune. Depending on the season, additional tasks may include planting, collecting seeds, replanting, eliminating diseased trees, and inventorying fauna and flora.

There is a general lack of awareness and education amongst the local population regarding the negative effects of deforestation and why conservation is so important. Local non-profits work to raise awareness and invite you to volunteer with them to support Nepal’s indigenous species conservation efforts.

HEALTHCARE VOLUNTEER PROGRAM:

Healthcare volunteer program can be done in mountain  country side by placing free health  camp. The health volunteer is placed either in Hospital or local clinic, they will act as shadow person to local doctor and learn from his observation.

If you are really interested to make some difference in nepali society  as a human definitely, it will suit you to work and gain good experience. Due to inherent risk involved and medical regulations, volunteers cannot treat patients or become involved in surgery during the project. However, you will be able to aid in general check-ups and examinations of the patients. You may also be asked to plan, coordinate or conduct public outreach and education programs when you partake in Nepal medical volunteering opportunity.

You must provide proof of experience in a medical field, such as premedical student ID, EMT or paramedic certification, or nursing or physician’s credentials in order to join this volunteering program.

VOLUNTEER FOR DISABLED PEOPLE:

life of disabled people in Nepal is not easy to live. Most of the disabled are ignored, neglected and forced to live in dark room by family because their prestige will loose if some one will see this condition. As a result one are dying in the same room or bed where they are born. Some family send them to begging as they are losing their human right. As a volunteer you have to assist care giver and provide knowledge on care giving where ever needed. Some times you have to work with the children to provide assistance with therapy, activity preparation, education on basic health and sanitation, academic assistance, and general care.

Volunteer should be capable of providing various therapy like  physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, music therapy services when needed. Volunteer should help the student in their studies, activity etc. depending on their abilities.

TEA RESEARCH AND ORGANIC FARMING VOLUNTEER:

This volunteer program is unique In itself in Nepal that is conducted by the various group. This program will take you to all the way ilam district which is famous for organic tea farming. District of ilam will give you feel of village living with good knowledge of organic farming also.
