Pisang Peak (6091m) has a great scope for exploration which lies in the Annapurna Region, Nepal. The western flank of the mountain, which is guarded by a hanging glacier. this glacier offers great challenge. However, access to western end of the ridge is more problematic because it is guarded by big rock slabs.
The first climbing on the Pisang peak was done in 1955 by a German Expedition group. same Expedition team then went on to successful climbing of Chulu east. From top of the peak seen looks much more interesting. It looks more like a curved ridge, with the face above Pisang being the truncated southern end on the valley.
The route through the upper Pisang valley leads through sparse woods and passes to a Kharka, which provides a good Base-camp site. The high trail here, which reaches upper Pisang (3300m) through Leddar. Pisang Peak climbing offers splendid views of the Annapurna peak. Tilicho Peak, Annapurna II and IV, Ghangapurna and the Glacier Dome. Pisang Peak is even so famous as a sightseeing peak.
