Panch Pokhari has the straight meaning panch means five and pokhari means lake so, it is known as a place of five lakes. this place is very religious for all the Hindus as five lakes have religious beliefs. This place lies in the Sindhupalchowk district of Nepal near Kathmandu valley. the lake is a very popular destination for Hindus and Buddhists, Janai Purnima is the biggest festival celebrated at panch pokhari, and the number of people visiting also increases during this period. panch pokhari comes under the Langtang national park. panch pokhari is also an important part of the Langtang national park region and it lies in another part of Langtang so this place has fewer visitors. panch pokhari has shared the region with three districts that are Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and Sindhupalchowk.
Panch Pokhari is situated at an elevation of about 4,100 m above sea level. panch pokhari is one of the biggest religious sites in Nepal. This trekking place lies on the north side of Kathmandu valley; the chain of peaks called jugal Himal includes Dorje lhakpa, madiya, and Phurbi Chhyachu (6,637 m).
