Mardi Himal Trek is the most famous trek among all age groups trekkers. this trek is moderate level to surpass and its beauty is extreme to watch different Himalayan ranges. This route is less risky to reach the base camp of Mardi this is why it is the most popular destination in a short period of time to complete. Mardi Himal is 5587m and its base camp above sea level is at 4500m. Meanwhile, we will cover a total of 65 kilometers of a journey throughout these trek days. Mardi Himal Trek is located in the eastern part of Annapurna, Mardi comes just below Machapuchare Himal. The difficult part of this trek is to reach the base camp from the high camp, this part challenges us and thrilling to feel.
Meanwhile, ACAP Permit, as well as a TIMS card, is compulsory for foreign travelers traveling along the route of Mardi. This Mardi Himal Trek is the most underrated trek in this Annapurna conservation area project. This trek was opened in 2012 by the government of Nepal by arranging some teahouses and lodges after that in the last few years it is gaining popularity. some of the popular destinations you should stay at on this trek are deurali, high camp, low camp, and forest camp.
Again in 2012, this trekking route was opened, following a ridge toward the summit, with lodges and tea houses open to an elevation of 3,550m, with a further climb up to the base camp with of elevation 4500m. this peak is classified as a “Trekking Peak” by Nepal government itself. as you reach close and personal with this, a view of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre, Gangapurna, Annapurna I, and Mardi Himal is seen. Mardi lies to the east of Annapurna base camp, Mardi trek is a hidden gem to the trekkers, some may go further up to Mardi Himal base camp also.
This trails winds along small paths through ancient rhododendron forests, until you climb out at around 3,300m. Here, the landscape changes quite abruptly with amazing views of Mardi Himal, Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli. From High Camp (3,580m) you can climb in about 3-4 hours to Mardi Himal Base Camp, which offers spectacular close-up views of the entire Annapurna Range. There is also an amazing viewpoint approx 2 hours from High Camp.
