Lower Manaslu Trek is located in the Gorkha district, the place from where the unification of Nepal was started by king Prithvi Narayan Shah, Gorkha was the first capital of Nepal. This is the origin of Gorkhas, Gorkha army is recognized worldwide for bravery after their contribution to the British during the second world war. India too has a Gorkha regiment whose roots belong to this place. there are several historical and archeological places of importance in the district. blessed by the nature and landmarked by a plethora of historic, religious, ecological, and cultural importance, this moderate trail in central Nepal has a lot of potentials to be featured as one of the favorite tourist destinations of the country.

Lower Manaslu Trek region is an ancient, historic, religious, cultural, and ecological is a newly included moderate grade of trekking in the heart of central Nepal, one of the closest trekking regions from the capital city of Kathmandu, reachable by bus ride along Prithvi highway from Kathmandu to Kurintar at the cable car station. This is also famous for agro-tourism and community homestays.

Manakamana temple, a wish-fulfilling goddess is a major religious tourist destination. The temple was built in the 17th century. this temple is one of the most popular religious places for pilgrims from the country and outside of the country to offer prayers. the historical attraction of the bungkot village is the Lakhan thapa memorial park, Nepal’s first martyr. the gorakhnath cave, shelter of gorakhnath baba after whom the gorkha district obtained his name. the Saige guided and blessed Prithvi Narayan shah who united Nepal and established the shah dynasty. it has wide other article to provide historical significance. nagapokhari, dudh pokhari, bhotdodar, chima, dharadi, and a tea garden offers magnificent view of sunrise and manaslu range from the siran danda which has rich cultural and natural medicinal herbs like nirmasi, jatamasi, rato unyu, yarsagumba, and satuwa. barpak village has a population of ghale and Gurung people famous for army soldier. late cap. gaje ghale was awarded with Victoria cross medal. Barpak rupina la pass trek which is popular among manaslu trekkers, this trek take you to latpak village,. darche danda is the highest point of lower manaslu trek. more than 20 Himalayan peaks like Annapurna, Machapuchare, shringi himal, Ganesh himal, and other mountains can be seen from viewed point . sita cave attracts thousand of pilgrims to pay homage to lord ram on ram Navami. goddess sita , the wife of lord ram, is believed to stayed in this cave.

  • Day 05 : Drive from gorkha bazaar to bhacheck then, hike to siran danda
  • Day 06 : Trek from siran danda to barpak village
  • Day 07 : Trek from barpak village to laprak
  • Day 08 : Trek from laprak to nambi kharka
  • Day 09 : Trek from nambi kharka to darche danda to thotneni
  • Day 10 : Trek from thotneni to gyampsal via sita cave
  • Day 11 : Gyampesal to kathmandu (8 hours drive)
  • Day 12 : fly back home
