Langtang is the combination of two different words Lang and Tang Lang stands for Yak and Tang signifies follow. Langtang Valley trek is an easy approach for those who have limited time for trekking in Nepal.
Langtang valley trek can be visited within 14 days. This region is located at the border of the autonomous region, the southern part of Tibet, China, and is … km northern of Kathmandu Valley. Langtang is known as the Valley of Glaciers. The Government of Nepal has protected this region as “Langtang National Park”.
Langtang region is also conserved for the “Himalayan Wildlife Reserve” for the purpose of preserving the natural environment. Travelers carry out several activities such as trekking, climbing, hiking, and white-water rafting inside the park as per their interests.
The lush mystical magical forest takes you to the time of the lord of the rings era. Approximately, 25 percent of the park is covered by forest. Besides this, there are a wide variety of climatic zones, from subtropical to alpine. And then the trees include deciduous oak and maple, evergreens like pine and different kinds of rhododendron flowers are found within the park territory.
Likewise, the park also provides the chance for animal sightseeing and bird watching is another beautiful opportunity. The park provides a habitat for animals including musk deer (Moschus Chray Sogaster), Himalayan Tahr (hermitregus jemlahicus), Himalayan black bear (selenarctos thibetanus), Snow leopard (Panthera uncia), Wild god (cuenalpinus), ghoral (nemorhedus goral) and more than 250 species of birds. The park is popular for Red Pandas and yeti sightseeing is another significant story.
More than 45 villages are situated near the National park boundaries. And is mostly dominated by Tamang Ethnic Community specifically called Hyalmo. Most of the people in the villages followed the traditional job like farming, cattle breeding, and timber and firewood are additional jobs.
