Itinerary
Hiunchuli trekking peak 6441m lies in the Himalayas of central Nepal. It also lies in Annapurna range like the other two peaks Tharpu Chuli and Singu Chuli.
Hiunchuli trekking peak is an extension of Annapurna South in the Annapurna Region. This is considered a sacred mountain of the Gurung ethnic community. An American Peace Crops Expedition team first ascended the peak in October 1971 via the southeast face.
Between Hiunchuli Trekking Peak and the Machapuchare peak has a narrow section of the Modi Khola valley that constitutes the sole access to the Annapurna Sanctuary.
Due to the difficulties in finding routes and danger of rockfall, peak is one of the difficult peaks to climb in Nepal. It can be climbed from the southeast face and northwest face as well. This is not so difficult technically but there is still a danger of falling rocks.
