Amphulapcha Pass trekking is an extraordinary adventure in the Everest or Khumbu region of Nepal. Amphulapcha pass is one of the highest altitude pass trekking and thus becomes one of the most challenging treks in Nepal for the tourists. Hence, this trek demands proper technical and mountaineering knowledge to successfully complete the journey. Despite the Khumbu valley being well-known to the trekkers, Amphulapcha remains mystical and less traveled by people. This allows the nature lovers to experience the wilderness and isolated experience in Nepal.
Amphulapcha is located in the isolated valley of Honku. The base of Honku valley lies around 5,000 m altitude from sea level and the valley has many glacial lakes including Seto Pokhari and Panch Pokhari. The top of the pass made of ice and rock gives you an excellent view of Mount Lhotse, Island Peak and Ijma glacier. Overall, being one of the toughest challenges in the history of trekking, Amphulapcha trek offers you most spectacular views of the Himalayas including Mount Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Makalu, Thamserku, Baruntse, Kusum Kanguru and many other smaller mountains.
The trek connects with the Khumbu region at Chhukung. Amphulapcha called mingbo la pass in Sherpa Language. Amphu Lapcha Pass Trek is specially designed for those adventure seekers who is looking forward to trek in a challenging and untouched trekking trail and enjoy the classic view of high Himalayas of Nepal. We begin our trek with a thrilling flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and then ascend all the way up towards the snow-covered region. The trek takes you to dramatic passes of Mera La (5,415m) and Amphu Lapcha (5,845m) making a circular loop back through the Sagarmatha National Park to Lukla. This adventure also gives us the opportunity to hike up to Mera Peak and witness the best view of world’s highest mountain Mt. Everest along with other mountains. From Lukla, we fly back to Kathmandu. The trek ends after the beautiful village of Namche Bazaar and Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu.
