During our tours in Paro, we will be visiting Taktsang Monastery also as tiger’s nest; this is one of the worlds most important Buddhist sites in the world. This monastery is on 1200 meters cliff built in 1692. The other interesting site are Kurje Lhakhang in Jakar, the temple was built around a cave with a body print of Guru Rinpoche is embedded in the wall.

1: from kathmandu to paro, drive to Thimpu.
upon arrive in paro clear custom and immigration. keep your copy of visa clearance as handy. P.P size photo is no longer required and your visa is paid. meet your guide and driver outside your terminal building and transfer to Thimpu. stroll around the city in evening. overnight stay in Thimpu.

02: from Thimpu to punaka(75 km, 3 hours drive)
visit trashichhoedzong, beautiful medieval fortress/monastery which houses most of government offices and kings throne room.it is also the summer residence of je khenpo, the chief abbot. hen visit at national library where ancient Buddhist manuscripts and text. after that drive to art & crafts school. famous for traditional thanka paintings. here you will see the student at work producing intricate design on cloth. after lunch we will visit handicraft emporium where they have displayed beautifully hand Owen and crafted product. then drive to chorten, the stupa is build in the memory of Bhutan third king is popularly regarded as father of modern Bhutan. the statue and painting inside this monument provide deep insight Buddhist philosophy. late afternoon drive to punaka across dochula pass (3,080m). overnight in punaka at hotel.

03: punaka to paro(150 km, 5 hours)
after breakfast at punaka dzong, built strategically at pho chhu and mo chhu river built in 1637 by shabdrung ngawang namgyal to serve as a administrative and religious center of the region. punaka dzong has played an important role in Bhutan history. damaged by four catastrophic fire and earthquake. the dzong has been fully restored. then drive to wangdiphodrang visiting dzong and local market. the district of wangdiphodrang is famous for bamboo product, slate and stone carving. after lunch short drive to paro with short stop to dochula pass. enroute visit simtokha dzong, oldest fortress built in 1627, it now houses the school for religious studies. overnight at hotel in paro.

04: in paro.
after breakfast take an excursion to Taktsang monastery, most famous of Bhutanese monastery. it is said that guru Rinpoche arrived here on the back of tigress and meditated at this monastery so it is called as tiger nest. the excursion to the monastery takes five hour to complete round trip. Afternoon in paro visit ta dzong, the national museum of kingdom. originally built as watch tower, since 1967 it is serving as national museum of country and holding fascinating collection of art, artifact, thangka painting and Bhutan's exinitic stamp post. afterward walk down trail to visit rinpung dzong built in 1646 by shabdrung ngawang namgyal, first spiritual and temporal rural of Bhutan. overnight stay in hotel at paro.
